- If you want to check on or request a payment report- go to 4th floor, Child Support Office, Room 435, 271-1466. These reports will be mailed out the following day.

- The County Clerk's Office handles the Notary Public information, 271-1412, Room 121
- A handbook and application must be obtained. The completed application must be sent to the Secretary of State with an application fee of $25.00. Once the approval is received, the notification with a surety bond from an insurance company must be submitted to the County Clerk's Office along with a $6.00 filing fee. It is the Notary Public's responsibility to obtain whatever stamp is necessary.

- Certified copies of birth certificates from 1927 to present can be obtained at Patee Market Health Center, 2d floor, 904 S. 10th Street, St. Joseph, MO 64503 (816)271-4636. They are open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. The cost for each certified copy is $15.00. Records can be obtained for birth anywhere in Missouri.
