Responsibilities

Road Patrol

The Road Patrol Division covers 12 towns, and 441 miles of county roads and various state highways, as well as assisting the Missouri State Highway Patrol and St. Joseph Police Department. You may reach this division at 816-271-5559.

Community Relations

One duty of the Community Relations Officer is to handle the Jr. Deputy Program in most of the elementary schools within Buchanan County and the City of St. Joseph. You may reach this division at 816-236-8878.

Accident Reports

Accident reports for incidents investigated by the Sheriff's Department are available at the Sheriff's Office. These reports are free to the individual involved in the accident. If you have questions, call 816-236-8800.
