The week of April 24-30, 2022 is National Crime Victims' Rights Week. Please join us at any of the planned events to support and remember victims of crime.
4-25-22: Wear teal for Sexual Assault Awareness Month or blue for Child Abuse Prevention Month!
4-26-22: Pinwheel day! Join Voices of Courage as they plant pinwheels at the corner of Belt and Frederick to represent each child they have served this past year. The event starts at 11:00 am.
4-27-22: We will gather at the Crime Victim Memorial located at the Remington Nature Center, to remember those we have lost to violence and support survivors. Join us at 5:30 p.m. in the southeast corner of the parking lot. We will provide sharpies so you can write the name of someone you want to honor to put in the rock memorial garden.
4-29-22: Join us for the "Victims' Have Rights" open house from 9-11 on the first floor of the Buchanan County Courthouse. You can pick up information, chat with those who protect and serve and connect with service providers in the area. There will be treats!
11:00 am in the Clifton Hurst room, join us as the revised Sexual Assault Response Protocol is signed by those who respond to and serve sexual assault victims.
