Board Appointments

The Buchanan County Commission appoints members to numerous boards and commissions.  Citizens can participate in local government by applying to volunteer for membership on these boards and commissions.  This provides opportunities for direct involvement in local government by residents of Buchanan County..

Each board has specific prerequisites for appointments.  All individuals interested in serving on a board must complete an application.  Once the application is received the Commission will review and schedule a meeting with selected candidates to discuss the details of the board appointment.  Current board members must apply if they wish to continue to serve.  Applications will be kept active for one year from the date of the application.
