Scott graduated from UMKC School of Dentistry in 1987 and began his practice with his wife Pam and father in law Dr. Larry Jones.   After 33 years of dentistry, he sold his practice and retired.  Three years after retirement Scott made the decision to serve his community again and run for Presiding Commissioner of Buchanan County.  He was elected and started office in January 2023.  Scott has served our community in many capacities including InterServ board member, he participated in the dental program at the Social Welfare Board, St Joseph Parks & Recreation, NWMO master gardener, University of Missouri Extension, mason, and Moila Shrine.  Scott and his wife Pam have two sons.  Scott enjoys playing golf, woodworking, gardening, reading, and traveling.
