Inmate Mail

Inmates are allowed to receive incoming letters. Any individual who desires to send an inmate incarcerated in the Buchanan County Jail letters may do so by sending the mail to the following address:

• All incoming mail is subject to search.
• Packages will not be accepted for inmates, nor will any mail be accepted that does not have a complete and accurate return mailing address from the sender on the envelope.
• All letters, cards, or correspondence for an inmate must be sent through the United States Postal Service.
• Full name and return address must be on envelope or mail will not be delivered to the inmate.
• Pictures are allowed to be included with the inmates letter however, no more than three pictures per letter will be accepted.
